The Importance of Stewardship
Why Do Churches Need Friends?
Mostly because they are very old, and in the case of Titchwell, more than 1,000 years old. Old buildings need love and care. If the fabric starts crumbling, if the roof leaks, if nothing is done, the church then becomes uninhabitable. Services will no longer be held and the building's long service to the local community will cease, leaving nothing but a picturesque ruin. That is why churches like Titchwell need friends, and why the Friends of Titchwell Church group was formed.
